Rootine’s Head of Retail Sales plays a critical role in the strategic and operational leadership of a high-growth DTC e-commerce CPG brand expanding into brick-and-mortar retail. They are responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of the retail business to drive growth, increase revenue, and enhance the company's market position. As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Retail Sales reports directly to the CEO and collaborates with other functional heads.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for owning and managing both online and offline sales channels for retail expansion.
- You will deliver year-over-year sales growth by pursuing new retail opportunities, developing relationships with key brokers and retail buyers, and launching new products, and improving the company’s market position.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify potential new retail partners and distribution channels to grow the brand’s presence.
- Lead negotiations with key accounts and retailers to secure advantageous deals.
- Alongside finance team, develop FP&A model for each opportunity and ensure alignment with Rootine’s financial objectives.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new bricks-and-mortar retail and online marketplaces, ensuring all deliverables are provided on schedule by internal teams.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by monitoring customer feedback and addressing issues promptly.
- Build promotional plans by customer for each key selling season. Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement effective marketing campaigns that promote brand awareness and drive customer acquisition.
- Oversee the development of product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Implement customer loyalty programs and retention strategies to foster long-term relationships with customers.
- Develop and monitor financial KPIs related to commercial activities, ensuring adherence to budget and profitability goals. Prepare regular reports for the executive team on commercial performance and growth opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to refine marketing strategies and ensure the brand remains competitive.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging professional growth and development among team members.
